4/14, Morningside Egret
A casual visitor to Morningside Park's pond. Apparently not a big fan of photography, as (s)he took off a couple of minutes after I showed up with a camera.
I have the same problem with an Egret and Heron in Flushing Bay, every time I get close enough for a pic they take off. I have to learn to be more stealth like an RTH I guess.
I've actually had fairly good luck with egrets at the Morningside Park pond, even had them get within 10 feet. I think this one just took off because it was getting late and it wanted to spend the night somewhere else.
