Monday just before 6:00 found one of the Cathedral baby hawks up and moving about.
While mama Isolde kept an eye on things from across the street.
But a few minutes later the nestling settled down and the nest looked to be quiet for a while.
Down in Morningside Park, another (or perhaps the same) black-crowned night heron was fishing from the same rock as did one last Thursday.
Checking back at the cathedral after 6:20, both baby red-tails were visible, sitting around.
Then Eldest perked up a bit.
And began moving about. There was some wing flapping, but seemingly just the "oops I almost tripped" kind of flapping.
Eldest sat high on the south side of the nest and looked around.
Looked around some more.
And preened a bit.
Then after 6:30, Eldest settled down and the nest was quiet. Across the street, mama had flown off 10-12 minutes before.
