When I've visited the cathedral red-tail nest the last few days, I've consistently gotten the feeling that I just missed a feeding. During today's gorgeous early evening, for example, I found Isolde sitting quietly in the nest, but sitting high where she could casually watch the skies.
There was a moment about 15 minutes later when Isolde was looking around at the interior of the nest below her during which I though I caught a couple flashes of something white, perhaps a little wing briefly poking above the edge of the nest. Bruce also reported glimpses of a nestling yesterday.
