Yet another day and still the three ted-tailed hawk babies at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine are glues to the nest. There was little flapping this evening and just a bit of preening. It was hot and a bit sticky, and they mostly stood about trying to cool off, wings slightly spread and panting.
A big scratch from the middle nestling in the photo above. But note the size of its foot. That bird also struck me as having a good solid build, so I'd bet it's a girl.
